Frequently asked questions

Can I have more than one campaign at a time?

Section titled “Can I have more than one campaign at a time?”

Yes. Each campaign has its own form, branding, and rules, so you can run several at once — for example, a general donation campaign alongside a seasonal one.

Do I have to manually approve every request?

Section titled “Do I have to manually approve every request?”

No. Set a campaign’s auto-approve rule to Auto Approve to issue certificates instantly for every submission, or Auto Reject to decline them automatically. Leave it on Manual Review to review each one yourself — see Review and approve requests.

Can I limit donation amounts to specific values?

Section titled “Can I limit donation amounts to specific values?”

Yes — in campaign settings, you can require the amount to be chosen from a predefined dropdown list instead of free text.

Can someone submit the form more than once?

Section titled “Can someone submit the form more than once?”

By default, yes. Turn on unique-email enforcement in campaign settings to block repeat submissions from the same email address.

Can I issue a certificate without someone filling out the form?

Section titled “Can I issue a certificate without someone filling out the form?”

Yes — see Issue a certificate manually. This is useful for phone requests, walk-ins, or one-off gestures.

Only if the campaign allows partial redemption. Otherwise it can be redeemed once, in full. This is set per campaign — see Campaigns.

There’s no separate “void” action — delete the certificate from the Certificates page to invalidate it.

The customer lost their certificate email — what do I do?

Section titled “The customer lost their certificate email — what do I do?”

Find the certificate and select Resend — see Resend or update a certificate.

Can I restrict where a certificate can be redeemed?

Section titled “Can I restrict where a certificate can be redeemed?”

Yes. When approving a request or issuing a certificate manually, choose which locations it’s valid at. See Customers & locations if you have multiple sites.

How does Avantly decide what counts as a “good” or “bad” rating?

Section titled “How does Avantly decide what counts as a “good” or “bad” rating?”

There’s no fixed threshold — you define your own rating bands (for example, 1–3 vs. 4–5 stars) and configure a different follow-up action for each. See Feedback surveys.

How do I track feedback by table or server?

Section titled “How do I track feedback by table or server?”

Create a preset for each table, server, or event. Each preset gets its own QR code and link, and responses are automatically tagged with that context.

Yes. Use the Manager or Service permission presets, or assign permissions individually. See Manage users and permissions.

We have multiple locations — do I need to set everything up separately for each one?

Section titled “We have multiple locations — do I need to set everything up separately for each one?”

Not necessarily. A parent-child customer hierarchy lets user permissions extend from a parent account down to its locations.

Reports and exports are available from the dashboard for requests, certificates, and redemptions, so you can pull your data out of Avantly whenever you need it.
